Visit Snæfellsnes Peninsula on this private day tour. Our journey to the beautiful Snæfellsnes Peninsula by Jeep starts with a drive along the west coast of Iceland, through the town of Borgarnes.
First stop of this jeep tour is Gerduberg, famous for its cliff made of colossal basalt columns. We will then continue our tour to the black wooden church in Buðir, before heading to the charming fishing village of Arnarstapi.
Here you can walk along the spectacular sea cliffs and enjoy the view of the majestic Snæfellsjökull, in the Snæfellsjökull National Park. It is believed that the glacier has a mystical power and is one of the eight points of power in the world.
You will be able to admire the glacier as we continue our tour to Hellnar, another great location to take pictures of impressive sea cliffs.
You will have the opportunity to enter one of Iceland’s most impressive lava caves, Vatnshellir. (Entrance to the cave is only allowed with a guided tour and is not included in the price)
We will visit the black beaches of Dritvik and Djúpalónssandur, gigantic lava stacks in Lóndrangar, old volcano craters, and the famous Kirkjufell, the Church Mountain, the most photographed mountain in Iceland.
You will have the option to visit one of the most spectacular Lava Caves in Iceland and we will also drive through a lava field!
We will show you the main attractions of this beautiful region of Iceland, as well as some secret places you do not visit on bus tours and, with a bit of luck, we will get to see some seals or even whales before our return to Reykjavik in the evening.
