Have your cameras ready to capture Kirkjufell, the famous church-shaped mountain and its waterfalls. This is among the most photographed places in Iceland and it is as beautiful as it looks on the pictures.
Our journey continues to the black beaches of Djupalonssandur and the stunning lava and basalt formations of Londrangar, before getting to Arnarstapi, an old fishing village at the bottom of the majestic Snaefellsjokull, mentioned in Julius Verne’s Journey to the Center of the Earth. Arnarstapi has beautiful sea cliffs populated by different bird species.
We will have the chance to walk to the top of an old crater, we will see the famous black church in Budir and, with some luck, we will spot some seals in Ytri-Tunga before making our way back to Reykjavik.
